Right livelihood asks how earning a living affects others. Contentment questions endless accumulation without denying genuine needs. Generosity can support community, but giving should not require neglecting dependants or essential expenses. Ethical consumption includes attention to how goods are made and used. No simple purchase makes a person pure. Begin with an honest account of needs, obligations and one avoidable source of harm.
