Ethical living connects intention with repeated action. The five precepts protect life, property, relationships, truth and heedfulness. Generosity and goodwill weaken self-centred habits, while discernment helps us notice consequences. At work or university, this may mean crediting a collaborator, correcting an error or refusing a dishonest shortcut. Good intentions do not erase harm; listen, repair what you can and adjust future conduct.
