Interfaith harmony means meeting others with honesty and respect, not claiming all religions teach the same thing. Listen before comparing, describe your own tradition carefully and avoid hostile generalisations. Shared service can bring people together without requiring common beliefs. In Malaysia’s diverse setting, check practical sensitivities and let participants choose their level of involvement. Understanding grows through questions that allow real differences to remain visible. Civic cooperation is distinct from religious instruction or worship. Organisers should respect participants’ religious boundaries and applicable Malaysian requirements, and should not pressure anyone into religious participation.
